Job Responsibilities

The Senior Architect is responsible for leading the design and implementation of advanced architectural solutions within the organization. This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to influence the technical direction of projects. The Sr. Architect works closely with various teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals and meet high standards of quality and performance.

Past experiences should include working in a global organization in either IT engineering or operations of varying size and complexity. Must have broad knowledge of current IT or security technologies to be able to work closely with core Syneos engineering and operations teams for the development of new solutions.

• Lead the design and development of complex architectural solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
• Create technical designs and specifications from business requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the architecture.
• Make decisions weighing costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
• Enforce quality and compliance standards to adhere to Syneos policies.
• Track milestones of dependencies across internal delivery teams.
• Report potential risks in solution development to management.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Continuously improve architecture processes and methodologies.
• Ability to respond quickly and decisively in high-stress situations.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in software architecture, system design, cloud computing and operationalization of solutions to production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in architectural design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in engineering or operations support to develop and deliver high quality solutions.
• Ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives.
