Job summary

Premier Research Group seeks a Director of Statistical Programming Innovation to lead the Biostatistics team in a remote-capable role based in Argentina. You will shape the technical roadmap, evaluate AI-assisted tools, and drive modernization of SAS workflows with R and Python.

You will mentor staff, set Shiny app standards, and oversee design and deployment of reusable tools, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality programming across projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of statistical programming experience with R and SAS in CRO/pharma environments.
• 5+ years in technical leadership roles.
• 2+ years of experience as supervisor/manager.
• Strong R data manipulation and automation skills.
• Proven experience building tools/pipelines to improve efficiency and standardization.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for statistical programming innovations.
• Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Design and maintain reusable tools, macros, packages, and templates.
• Lead migrations from SAS to R/Python-based workflows.
• Provide direction for R Shiny apps and deployment.
• Set standards for Shiny architecture and deployment.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and foster continuous learning.
