Avenga is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Argentina (Córdoba) to deploy and manage mission-critical banking applications. You will work on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and security across environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps, strong Windows/Linux/AIX administration, and expertise with CI/CD tools, scripting, and container platforms. Fluency in Spanish and intermediate English is required.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Execute application and infrastructure deployment, configuration, and validation across Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Participate in release management and coordinate deployments.
• Validate environment readiness and operational status before and after deployments.
• Provide hands-on support during deployment windows and post-deployment stabilization.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze incidents related to applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate to automate deployment activities and improve delivery processes.
• Implement remediation actions from security audits and testing.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and traceability of changes.
• Support stability, reliability, and security of critical systems.

At the core of the role

In Argentina (Córdoba), we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a banking-sector client and play a key role in deploying and managing mission‑critical applications. This position requires strong expertise in infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices to ensure stability, scalability, and security across environments.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical support during deployments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in DevOps processes.

Core skills you’ll bring

• 5+ years of DevOps experience supporting and releasing production‑critical applications, including incident troubleshooting and technical support;
• Strong administration knowledge across Windows Server, Linux, AIX, IIS, and basic Active Directory, with working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and SQL;
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and communications;
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins, plus Git/version‑control practices;
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python;
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills, with the ability to follow controlled procedures during critical implementations;
• Collaborative, proactive, and results‑driven, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams;
• Advanced student or graduate in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
• Fluent in Spanish and intermediate English proficiency.

Nice‑to‑have

• Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift;
• Web infrastructure and networking: Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and digital certificates;
• Cloud and CI/CD experience with Azure and/or AWS, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure automation;
• Interest or experience in applying AI to technology or operational processes;
• Background in banking, fintech, or other mission‑critical, highly regulated environments.

The impact you'll create

• Execute application and infrastructure deployment, configuration, and validation activities across Development, QA, and Production environments;
• Participate in the Release Management process, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of releases;
• Validate environment readiness and operational status before and after deployments through technical controls and basic testing;
• Provide hands‑on support during deployment windows and contribute to post‑deployment stabilization;
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze incidents related to applications, infrastructure, and deployment processes;
• Collaborate with technical teams to automate deployment activities and continuously improve delivery processes;
• Implement remediation actions arising from vulnerabilities identified through security audits, assessments, or testing;
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure full traceability of implemented changes;
• Support the stability, reliability, and security of critical banking systems.
