Formación

Job Summary:

The Deputy Regional Manager for Natural Resources will play a pivotal role in supporting the Natural Resources Regional Head in overseeing and expanding operations within the Power Generation, Energy (including onshore oil and gas), and Renewable Energy sectors across Latin America and the Caribbean. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, Technical UW experience, capable of driving growth and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with the company’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Assist in developing and implementing regional strategies for the Natural Resources sector, focusing on Power Generation, Energy, and Renewable Energy & Alternative Fuels.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s footprint in the region.
  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
  3. Financial Oversight:
    • Support budget planning and financial management to achieve regional financial targets.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with brokers, industry bodies, business partners, re insurers and colleagues, to maximise influence and achieve business objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance its reputation and influence.

  1. Team Leadership and Practice Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other lines of business.
  2. Sustainability and Compliance:
    • Promote and integrate sustainable practices across all operations, aligning with the company’s Climate+ initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  3. Market Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape.
    • Prepare and present reports on regional performance and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the Natural Resources sector, with a focus on Power Generation, Energy, and Renewable Energy.
  • Proven track record in a managerial role with experience in Latin America.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and market dynamics in the region.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
