The ideal candidate must have a DDS or DMD, board certification, and strong skills in diagnosis and treatment. Overview

Responsible for performing oral examinations; prevention of oral disease through education; oral hygiene instruction and sealant placement; and treatment of oral infections and diseased teeth.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment of diseased oral tissues including restorations, root canal treatment, extractions, and prescriptions.
• Conducts oral examinations and charting.
• Administers local anesthesia.
• Reads x-rays and makes diagnoses.
• Provides services after hours and on-call.

Qualifications

• Ability to recognize oral pathology, make an accurate diagnosis, and render appropriate treatment.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and appropriate drugs to prescribe.
• Diagnostic ability and manual skills.
