Apiux Tech is seeking a Databricks Presales Consultant to strengthen Data & AI capabilities and drive regional growth in a 100% on-site role in Santiago, Chile. You will translate data challenges into business solutions and lead technical discovery, architecture design, and demonstrations for clients.

The ideal candidate combines deep Databricks expertise with commercial acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to engage both technical teams and C‑level stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Extensive data ecosystem experience (engineering, analytics, data platforms).
• Deep Databricks knowledge including architecture and enterprise use cases.
• Active Databricks certifications preferred.
• Experience in presales, solution consulting or client‑facing technical roles.
• Strong business judgment and ability to articulate value to executives.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Databricks Presales Consultant to strengthen our Data & AI capabilities and support business growth across the region.

This role is designed for a professional who combines deep technical expertise in the Databricks ecosystem with strong commercial acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to translate complex data challenges into valuable business solutions.

You will work closely with our commercial and technical teams to identify opportunities, engage with clients, design solution architectures, and lead presales activities that demonstrate the business value of Databricks-based solutions.

Important: This position is based in Santiago, Chile, and requires 100% on-site work. Candidates currently based in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, or other locations must be willing to relocate to Santiago.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Presales: Lead technical discovery sessions, understand client requirements, and design Databricks-based solutions aligned with business needs.
• Solution Architecture: Develop high-level architectures and proposals for data engineering, analytics, data platforms, and AI use cases leveraging Databricks.
• Client Engagement: Present technical solutions, conduct product demonstrations, lead workshops, and communicate complex concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Commercial Support: Partner with sales teams to identify business opportunities, qualify leads, develop value propositions, and contribute to proposals and commercial presentations.
• Proof of Concepts: Define and support proof-of-concept initiatives to demonstrate technical feasibility, business value, and solution differentiation.
• Opportunity Development: Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business through data and AI solutions.
• Partner Ecosystem: Maintain strong knowledge of Databricks capabilities, product evolution, certifications, and best practices to strengthen our market positioning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong technical foundation.
• Extensive professional experience in the data ecosystem, including data engineering, modern data platforms, cloud data architectures, analytics, and enterprise data solutions.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of the Databricks platform, including its architecture, core capabilities, and enterprise use cases.
• Relevant, active Databricks certifications demonstrating technical proficiency in the platform. Professional-level certifications are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in technical presales, solution consulting, data architecture, or a comparable client‑facing technical role.
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs, articulate business value, and support the development of sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, business leaders, and C‑level stakeholders.
• Experience working with consulting firms, technology services providers, or systems integrators is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across commercial, technical, and delivery teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and positioning enterprise‑scale data and AI solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with data modernization, lakehouse architectures, data governance, and AI/ML workloads.
• Previous involvement in RFPs, technical proposals, solution estimations, and client presentations.
• A track record of contributing to business development and closing technology services opportunities.
