BRG’s Financial Institution Advisory practice in Buenos Aires seeks an analyst or higher level with strong analytical and data skills to solve complex financial risk questions for banks, lenders, and capital market participants. The role will be determined based on the candidate's experience and may involve engagement work streams and model development.

You will work on data-intensive analytics, develop analyses and models using transactional data, and deliver client-ready reports.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking or consulting industry.
• Experience in risk management, internal controls, and/or audit roles.
• Knowledge of statistics.
• Experience in data analysis and the use of visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Execute financial institution advisory projects related to financial risk management (credit risk, valuation, capital planning, stress-testing, liquidity, model risk).
• Work on data intensive analytics, governance, and data manipulation to support risk initiatives.

BRG's Financial Institution Advisory practice specializes in helping commercial banks, consumer finance companies, credit unions, mortgage banks, capital market participants and insurance companies solve pressing business issues. The group brings a mix of functional experts-including CPAs, CFAs, CROs, CRCMs, FRMs, former regulators, financial modelers, technologists, former bankers, and longtime consultants-to address immediate risks and drive tangible benefits.

We are looking for highly energetic, professionals who are eager to build on their experience. This person will use their solid analytical ability and strong data analysis skills to solve complex problems. The work will involve execution of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior professionals to execute various financial institution advisory projects related to financial risk management including credit risk, valuation, capital planning, and stress-testing, liquidity, resolution planning, and model risk management. Functional areas of work encompass regulatory, risk and controls; finance and accounting; technology enablement; and business process optimization.
• Works on data intensive projects, including analytics, governance, and manipulation, to support a variety of financial risk initiatives.
• Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data.
• Generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to expert reports
• Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
• Prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking or consulting industry (or a related field)
• Previous experience in risk management, internal controls, and/or audit roles, particularly in relation to the model management and usage
• General knowledge of statistics
• Experience in data analysis and the use of visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
• Advance proficiency in MS office, especially MS Excel
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, SAS, R)
• Understanding of risk management and model validation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in financial services, consulting, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
