Monks is seeking a Content Creator to develop engaging social content and manage local community across platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. You will collaborate with strategy, creative, and technology AI teams to deliver culturally relevant, high-impact content that resonates with local audiences.

You’ll use AI tools to craft scripts and visuals, adapt content for different channels, and maintain a monthly editorial calendar that aligns with our brand objectives.

• Social native with active presence across platforms.
• 2+ years as a social-first creative for agency/brand.

In the Content Creator position you’ll be responsible for developing the social content. This role provides a huge opportunity to redefine the category and create content that truly has impact. As a social-first creative you’ll need to craft ideas that demonstrate cultural relevance and will be responsible for the daily management of the local community and moderation of our brand's social channels, ensuring that our content resonates with local audiences and meets their needs.

In this role you will:

• Develop and execute creative and engaging social media strategies in collaboration with strategy, creative teams and technology AI teams.
• Manage the day-to-day handling of social media content across channels including Instagram and TikTok adapting content to suit different channels.
• Spot social opportunities within wider creative ideas.
• Use AI tools to propose and create social content.
• Develop a monthly social editorial calendar and align with the wider content team.
• Create content in-the-moment in response to social trends.
• Ensure legal compliance of content (e.g. copyright and data protection).
• Develop innovative creative in response to client briefs, alongside identifying proactive opportunities to develop social content that will fulfill the brand objectives.
• Present ideas comprehensively to clients and colleagues, confidently explaining and supporting your thinking.
• Amend and redevelop content in response to feedback.
• Understand performance metrics, and use them to inform future creative development.
• Be responsible for the full creative funnel, from ideation to creation of social content.
• Understand social platforms and trends in real time to trigger new ideas and proposals for campaigns.

Experience you already have:

• A social native, active across a multitude of platforms.
• Demonstrate passion for socially-led creative thinking.
• 2+ years of proven work experience as a social-first creative for an agency / brand.
• Experience of developing exciting social executions for brands.
• Basic experience in the use of AI tools for creating scripts and visual content.
• A keen eye on emerging social trends across platforms
• Experience of crafting reactive content in response to social trends.
• Experience working on brave, innovative brands, looking to push cultural boundaries.
• A keen eye for visual details and accuracy.
• A deep understanding of consumer behaviour, and adapting content plans to address the needs of the community.
• Upper intermediate/advanced english written and verbal communication skills.
• A great team player who can work hand to hand with tech areas.
• Experience of basic camera work, editing and design is a bonus .
