People Advisory Services (PAS) builds and improves organizational and individual performance, delivering a highly complex and challenging mission, especially in an ever-changing working environment. As a member of PAS, you’ll be part of a team with a wide variety of experiences and a supportive environment. When you join us you will gain unique experiences and valuable knowledge working across capabilities, sectors, and geographies and have the opportunity to take your career in the direction you want.

The Opportunity

We help clients understand, secure, and improve their people agenda. As part of our team, you’ll support organizations’ adaptation to key market trends like the growing emphasis on the employee experience, digital technology enablement, innovation, and the globalizing workforce. From day one you’ll work with clients across the spectrum in industry, size, culture, and region. Likewise, you will partner with analysts, partners, interns, and client executives on large-scale transformations to help build a better working world.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll advise and assist key stakeholders to manage change in their organization. You will work collaboratively to deliver innovative and insightful, yet practical solutions for a range of challenges, simple and complex, by designing change management strategies and approaches.

Typical Change Management projects might involve one or more of the following activities:

  1. Executing change management strategies based on considerations of the client’s environment, stakeholder needs, and the desired future state.
  2. Performing change impact analysis and gathering stakeholder impacts from the client’s transformation initiative.
  3. Designing and delivering high-impact communications and stakeholder engagement campaigns.
  4. Evaluating training needs and creating training tools and materials that create ownership of the solution.
  5. Conducting business readiness assessments, evaluating results, and developing appropriate mitigation strategies for sustained change.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Your daily responsibilities will depend on your project but in general you’ll have responsibilities in these key areas:

  1. Advising clients - the backbone of what we do, working well with and strategically influencing clients is crucial for success. You’ll need to have exceptional people skills and the ability to present yourself and your ideas confidently in a variety of settings. You’ll also be expected to be on-site with the client as needed.
  2. Knowing your stuff - EY methodologies, industry best practices and news, and client-specific info. It is critical that everyone on our team has the knowledge he or she needs to help our clients. Don’t worry - you’ll be building on your current education and expertise with EY training, resources, and cutting-edge thought leadership.
  3. Solving real problems - our clients face a variety of challenges and situations change every day. Critical thinking, situational reasoning, and practical solutioning is required, often under tight deadlines. A cool head combined with strong analytical skills is a must-have.
  4. Working with technology - every project involves some level of tech know-how. Comfort around technology and a willingness to build these skills helps us to remain at the forefront of innovation.
  5. Supporting EY growth - while the majority of our time is spent with external clients, you’ll also work on internal initiatives such as business development and Vision 2020 to make EY the best it can be.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  1. 3 - 5 years relevant professional service experience in which you gained exposure to a large-scale project(s), experience in Change Management or Human Capital services a plus.
  2. The ability to leverage your experience - your education, previous work history, and cumulative life experiences give you a unique view of our clients’ issues.
  3. An undergraduate degree with demonstrated academic success.
  4. A valid US driver’s license.
  5. Desire to learn quickly about a new topic - chances are you’ll be unfamiliar with the industry, client, or technology you’ll be working with, so curiosity and openness to new ideas are important.
  6. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills - asking the right questions at the right time is key for unearthing our clients’ most immediate needs.
  7. Effective project management skills - managing a project plan, raising risks, and adhering to a deadline are all tasks that will be encountered on the job.
