Hello! We’re Cashea 👋, and we're on a mission to bring optimism back to Venezuelans 🇻🇪 by building innovative financial products. Since our launch in 2022, we've been dedicated to democratizing financial inclusion through cutting-edge technology. In that time, we've grown to serve over 6 million customers, developed a range of products for both consumers and merchants, and become a trusted name in Venezuela—winning both minds and hearts 💛. We’re now hiring our first Platform Engineering Manager to lead and scale the internal platform team that will power our future. This is a foundational leadership role. You’ll manage our existing DevOps team, define the long-term vision for our internal platform capabilities, and hire the team needed to get us there. Lead our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure strategy—scalability, security, cost optimization.

Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release tooling to maximize developer efficiency.
Implement observability standards (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting) across services and environments.
Partner with security and compliance teams to embed controls and guardrails into platform workflows.
Collaborate with product engineering to identify friction and build self-service solutions.
Design and maintain internal tooling, golden paths, and sandbox environments to reduce cognitive load.
Evangelize DevEx best practices, including local development workflows, environment parity, and testing automation.
Build hiring plans, technical standards, and scalable practices to support a multi-team, multi-service environment.
Set measurable goals for platform adoption, incident reduction, deployment frequency, and MTTR.
Act as a thought partner to the Head of Engineering on organizational design, engineering KPIs, and team expansion.
5+ years of backend, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering experience.
2+ years in a technical leadership or management role, ideally with experience managing DevOps or platform engineers.
Deep hands-on experience with:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — IAM, VPC, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, etc.
Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
Comfortable writing or reviewing code in Node.js or Python. (Bonus: familiarity with Flutter or React build processes.)
Strong understanding of DevOps principles, site reliability practices, and developer productivity tooling.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, with strong communication and documentation skills.
A builder’s mindset: you enjoy creating systems, shaping culture, and scaling what works.
Experience building platform teams from scratch or leading major platform transformations.
Familiarity with platform-as-a-product thinking and developer enablement metrics (e.g., DORA).
Background in incident response, postmortems, and production readiness.
Interest in cost-aware cloud ops and performance tuning in GCP.
Track record mentoring engineers and growing junior team members into senior contributors.
