ET Business Mgmt. Operations - Business Consolidation Lead
The opportunity
The Business Consolidation Lead will be responsible for developing the overall ET product and service financial story. This position will report to the Business Management Operations Leader.
Your key responsibilities
- Consolidation of ET financial information and developing the business story behind primary drivers, risks, opportunities, etc.
- Development of consolidated financial presentations for senior leadership that clearly articulate the business story and actions required.
- Formalize template, cadence, and prepare ET Quarterly Business Review financial story for Business Enablement Exec (Steve K) level.
- Lead fiscal year planning to define the business requirements to implement business and financial changes within ET based on the product and services framework.
- Lead development of planning roadmap to implement rolling forecasting and planning.
- Ensure financials are updated appropriately for plan, actuals, and forecast.
- Provide required training/learnings to the BMO and across the ET organization to raise the level of financial acumen.
- Partner with Portfolio Management Lead to connect PPM investment plan and forecast to ITP products and services.
- Partner with the Business Intelligence and Analytics team with the Business Office to develop the ET management reporting suite and associated guidance to assist the business management teams in managing the business and support product managers.
- Partner with Product costing and Finance to ensure proper billing and recovery of ET products.
- Liaison with TBM office to support ET requirements and ensure alignment to TBM/Apptio framework.
- Identify opportunities to improve the overall performance of the Business Mgmt. team and Business Office in general.
- Build relationships with ET Business and Finance Managers to provide support, as needed.
- Act as a change leader to the Business Management Operations team in our journey of becoming a products and services organization.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience in both technology business and financial management.
- Experience in performing analytics on material GL accounts including, but not limited to, Purchased Services, Software maintenance, hardware maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to consolidate financial information which will represent key business drivers of results in executive level presentations.
- Ability to lead business initiatives in collaboration with senior ET leaders, as well as all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improved forecasting and planning accuracy.
- Ability to identify opportunities for additional savings and efficiencies.
- Strong organizational skills with experience of managing business and financial processes.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment (either directly or indirectly).
- Experience in working in a global environment and an ability to interact with different cultures and build strong working relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences and influence multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of EY tools such as PPM, ECM, Retain and Apptio.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Ability to clearly define business problems, primary drivers, and present proposed solutions.
What we look for
- 8+ years of experience including demonstrated leadership in business and financial management and analysis. Product management and/or project management or a related discipline is desirable but not required.
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid changes.
- Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people to balance demands.
- Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure.
