Finance – Business Analysis – Supervising Associate

The Business Analysis sub-function of FP&A brings together people and teams focused on business leadership support, including cohesive strategic analytics and insights on management and performance reporting, enabling strategic decision making.

The opportunity

As a Supervising Associate within the Business Analysis team, you will serve as a trusted business advisor to key business leaders and finance team members, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial analysis and reporting. In this role, you will work with senior finance leaders to deliver monthly performance reporting, provide forward-looking analysis, and support integrated planning processes that inform business decisions. You will build trusted relationships with stakeholders, develop executive-ready materials, and help operationalize analytics—elevating the quality, speed, and consistency of financial insights delivered to leadership. Collaboration across functions and geographies is central to this role, as is contributing to the adoption of automation and advanced analytics to drive continuous improvement.

As part of the Business Analysis sub-function of FP&A, you will foster collaboration and community among a diverse network of financial professionals throughout the Finance organization, providing reporting and analysis to leaders across EY.

Your key responsibilities
  • Produce monthly performance packages for respective business, with analysis, commentary, and business insights.
  • Understand demand factors such as pipeline, wins, and analyze and project their impact on the future performance.
  • Model projections and analyze monthly performance, forward-looking indicators, identify trends and insights that drive decision-making
  • Conduct scenario modeling or support ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions, using a variety of data sources and analytical approaches; summarize insights in concise, executive-ready outputs.
  • Build reports and dashboards in collaboration with Reporting & Data Analytics team
  • Cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders and business leaders across the organization including Global Service Lines, Regions, R&DA, Account Support, Clients & Industries, Growth and Innovation, and Investments Finance leaders to synthesize business insights and drive consistent and effective approach to strategic analytics, insights and presentations
  • Incorporate automation, AI, and advanced analytics to drive innovation in financial reporting and insights by partnering with Global Analytics, Data & Technology and Reporting & Data Analytics teams; identify automation opportunities and pilot improvements.
  • Act as coach and mentor to other team members, demonstrate Trusted Business Advisor behaviors

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools such as Power BI; familiarity with automation and data management technologies is preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance)
  • 4-6 years of experience in FP&A or business analysis roles.
  • Strong spoken and written English

  • Exposure to working in a global or matrixed environment
