Job description

Are you the person who can keep a dozen referrals moving at once and know exactly which one needs attention first? Do you switch easily between English and Spanish, and make patients feel heard from the first call? If you thrive in a fast-moving healthcare environment, enjoy bringing order to a busy inbox, and want your work to directly affect whether patients get the care they need, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.

Our Story Starts with People Like You

The two founders, best friends, were running businesses that needed great talent fast. So, they started building remote teams across countries like the Philippines, Colombia, and India. Not only did it work, it thrived. They realized that talent isn’t limited by geography. With today’s technology and high-speed internet, we’re able to build high-performing global teams that support businesses across the U.S. So ClearDesk was born.

Today, ClearDesk helps U.S. businesses grow by building world-class remote teams. We don’t just connect talent; we manage the entire experience, from recruiting to retention. And while we help clients thrive, we also stay deeply committed to helping our remote team members build real, lasting careers that support their lives and their families.

That’s where you come in.

The Role: Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Imagine being the first voice a patient or family member hears when they reach out for home health care. Every call you answer, every referral you review, and every intake you schedule helps get a patient from “we need help” to “the nurse is on the way.”

You’re not just answering phones. You’re the front door to a home health business. You make sure referrals arrive with the right documentation, eligibility is verified, authorizations are in place, and intake appointments are scheduled with the right nurses and field staff. Because 60-70% of our patient population is Spanish-speaking, your bilingual skills are at the center of the role and of the service we provide.

You thrive on structure in a changing environment, you’re comfortable escalating a question before it becomes a problem, and you don’t let a referral slip through the cracks. Whether you’re triaging a stack of new referrals, coordinating with our authorization coordinator, or messaging a nurse about tomorrow’s schedule, you bring organization, clear communication, and follow-through to everything you touch.

What Your Days Might Look Like:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming patient referrals and inquiries
  • Answer and manage incoming calls from current and prospective members
  • Triage referrals to determine whether members have the right referral documentation
  • Verify patient eligibility and ensure proper authorization is in place
  • Coordinate with the authorization team to keep the authorization workflow running smoothly
  • Schedule intake appointments by coordinating with nurses and field staff on availability
  • Use our internal systems to process new member information and ensure proper documentation
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking patients in a warm, clear, and professional way
  • Collaborate with nurses and off-site team members via messaging tools for scheduling coordination
  • Maintain organized records and follow established workflows to keep operations efficient
  • Escalate concerns or questions promptly when additional support is needed
  • Adapt quickly to changing daily priorities based on patient needs
  • Make sure no referrals are lost, protecting both patient care and the health of the business
  • Work independently while staying closely connected with the office team
Who We Think Will Thrive in This Role:
  • You are fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication in each.
  • You have excellent organizational skills and can triage and prioritize patient referrals effectively.
  • You have strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • You are willing to work in a US time zone schedule.
  • You can secure the required technical setup, including:
  • At least a 720p HD webcam
  • A primary internet connection of at least 25 Mbps
  • A backup laptop, backup internet device, and backup power source
  • A main computer with at least Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) and 8 GB RAM
  • A backup computer with at least Intel Core i3 and 4 GB RAM
