The Wood Group Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support residents with behavioral health challenges and promote stability through structured care and empathy.

The full-time daytime shift runs 7:00am–7:00pm with a 12-hour rotating schedule and built-in overtime. You will monitor safety, assist with meals, supervise medication procedures, document daily charts, and uphold dignity and respect in all interactions.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health or social services advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals; follow the facility menu as posted.
• Complete items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures; ensure proper timing and count narcotics.
• Daily chart documentation.
• Familiarize with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures; employee handbook.

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous

Salary Description
