Ramp is hiring a backend engineer to design, build, and scale the core spend-management engine that powers card issuance, spend controls, and approvals. You will work across surfaces central to Ramp’s success, collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver intelligent, user-first experiences for finance teams.

You’ll integrate with Ramp’s AI platform to automate policy enforcement and anomaly detection, while owning projects end-to-end from architecture to deployment and

Formación

• 1+ years of software engineering experience (backend or backend-focused fullstack).
• Strong fundamentals in backend systems and API design; experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript ideal.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS, and modern observability tooling.
• Product sense and ability to balance technical quality with user value; collaborative communication in high-ownership environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and scale backend systems powering spend controls, approvals, and card transactions at scale.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data to deliver intelligent, user-first experiences for finance teams.
• Integrate with internal AI platform to automate spend policy enforcement and anomaly detection.
• Own complex projects end-to-end—from architecture to deployment and observability.
