Scale Up Recruiting Partners is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting AI and GenAI solutions for enterprise customers.

This role focuses on Python backend development, building services that connect AI models with vector databases, embeddings, and AWS infrastructure, with end-to-end ownership from design to deployment.

Formación

• Strong Python backend development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and building scalable APIs and backend services.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI applications, including model integrations, vector databases, embeddings, or document-processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Docker and modern deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and service-to-service communication.
• Understanding of functional programming concepts and maintainable software design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional-level English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build scalable backend systems using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop services for document retrieval, processing pipelines, and AI/GenAI workflows.
• Design reliable APIs that connect AI models, vector databases, embedding services, and other systems.
• Build reusable Python components that integrate with AWS services.
• Work with containers, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Implement logging, metrics, tracing, and internal tools to monitor performance and reliability.
• Write clean, testable, and reusable code while separating business logic from infrastructure.
• Take ownership of backend systems and technical decisions end-to-end

About The Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting advanced AI and GenAI solutions for enterprise customers.

This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Python backend development experience who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building reliable systems that integrate AI/ML models, vector databases, embedding services, data pipelines, and AWS infrastructure.

The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of backend systems, from architecture and API design to deployment, monitoring, optimization, and long-term maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend systems using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop services for document retrieval, processing pipelines, and AI/GenAI workflows.
• Design reliable APIs that connect AI models, vector databases, embedding services, and other systems.
• Build reusable Python components that integrate with AWS services.
