Deliverect is hiring a Backend Developer to join our Product Department. You will build and scale backend services powering our platform, enabling seamless integrations with POS systems and delivery apps for restaurants and retailers worldwide.

You will work in a hybrid setup (Ghent or Casablanca offices with remote options) and contribute to performance, reliability, and data-driven reporting with a strong emphasis on testing and collaboration across teams.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Python in a web context (Flask and Eve).
• Experience building Web/REST APIs.
• Experience with REST/JSON-RPC/SOAP/XML API standards.
• Git and CLI proficiency.
• Experience with API clients like Postman or Insomnia.
• Knowledge of SaaS products or frequent releases at a scaling global company.
• NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes in a cloud environment.
• Familiar with a TDD approach and testing.

Responsabilidades

• Design algorithms for reports with large datasets of products and orders.
• Create Machine to Machine (M2M) Authorization.
• Anticipate and prevent performance issues at scale.
• Develop core product features for the platform.

• Collaborate with product owners and customer success teams to design solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to tackle problems.

As a Backend Developer at Deliverect, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the core services that power our platform. You will help build and scale the backend systems that streamline order management and enable seamless integrations for our customers. Your work will directly contribute to the stability and performance of our platform, ensuring a reliable experience for thousands of restaurants worldwide.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Ghent or Casablanca office and 2 days from the comfort of your home.

What you will do:

• Building API integrations for leading national and global POS systems and delivery apps
• Being inventive with the huge amount of data we process and designing algorithms for generating reports with millions of products and orders
• Creating Machine to Machine (M2M) Authorization
• Anticipating performance problems and preventing them ahead of time by thinking atscale
• Building core product features that improve our application
• Mentoring other developers and guiding them in their work
• Participating in code reviews
• Writing unit and integration tests to ensure coverage
• Supporting other teams and communicating effectively with them on a daily basis
• Working closely with product owners, customer success and technical account managers to understand problems and design solutions
• Helping to choose new technologies and frameworks to tackle problems
• You might even be in touch with customers directly, as you are keen to hear where we can improve

What you will bring:

• You have 5+ years of experience using Python in a web context (we use Flask and Eve as our backend framework). We will consider other languages (like Ruby) if you are willing to learn quickly.
• You have experience with building Web/REST APIs
• Experience with a variety of API standards (REST, JSON-RPC, SOAP/XML)
• Experience with Git and the CLI
• Experience with API clients like Postman or Insomnia
• You are familiar with SaaS products or working on a product with frequent releases within a rapidly scaling global company
• Knowledge of databases, especially NoSQL (ideally MongoDB)
• Understanding of Docker or Kubernetes in a cloud environment
• You have worked with a TDD approach before
• Experience with testing
