As a Senior Software Developer, you''ll be at the forefront of delivering this innovation to our users, ensuring the application is functional, delightful, and snappy to use. What You’ll Do

• Build new features for the REST API and data processing engine using TypeScript and Python/Spark, deployed on AWS.
• Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and QA to implement features and enhancements.
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to ensure a high-quality codebase.
• Contribute to improving performance and scalability of the platform.
• Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like Terraform and Serverless Framework.

What You Bring

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in software development roles, focused on backend development
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (preferably Python and/or TypeScript)
• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, DDB, etc.)
• Experience with large data processing and scalable applications using Apache Spark and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code
• English communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. B2 level English or higher is required
• Ability to set up development environment, provision AWS infrastructure, and adapt to a remote work routine
• Familiarity with the tech stack, development workflow, and CI/CD systems
• Ability to fix minor bugs and assist in resolving client issues to familiarize yourself with the codebase
• Take ownership of features or modules and see them through to deployment
• Support senior developers and contribute to more complex features and enhancements
• Collaborate with QA and team leads to plan deployments
• Present your work in demo sessions to QA and product management
• Assist in resolving client production issues or feature requests
• Participate in architecture, design, and implementation discussions
• Provide actionable feedback to improve processes and workflows
• Selected candidates will be hired directly by Varicent
• Role requires working within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours; flexibility to align with EST is essential
