The ideal candidate holds a degree in agriculture, has 6+ years of relevant experience, fluent English, with Spanish advantageous.

• University or agricultural college graduate with relevant postgraduate courses (Agricultural Engineer).
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Languages: English; Spanish an advantage but not essential (language training provided if needed).

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day‑to‑day farm operations, including crops and inputs management.
• Manage irrigation activities and production planning and execution.
• Coordinate farm and dehydration plant activities to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure quality and traceability of production processes.
• Prepare annual budget with Farm Manager and monitor expenditures.
• Maintain health and safety; ensure safe working environment.

Opportunity:

As Assistant Farm Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of the farm’s entire operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day‑to‑day farm activities, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and productivity are met.

Responsibilities

• Operations:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices
• Manage day‑to‑day farm operations, including crops and inputs management
• Oversee irrigation activities and production planning and execution
• Coordinate activities between the farm and dehydration plant to ensure seamless operations
• Ensure quality and traceability of production processes
• Monitor technological and process improvements and update production plans accordingly

• Administration:
• Prepare annual budget in collaboration with the Farm Manager
• Oversee budget expenditure and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints
• Monitor costs and implement internal controls to comply with local laws and management guidelines
• Prepare replacement and capital expenditure plans to maintain and develop farm operating efficiencies
• Health and Safety:
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate with training initiatives on health and safety
• Coordinate efforts to minimize workplace hazards and implement corrective actions as needed

Candidate Requirements

• University or agricultural college graduate with relevant postgraduate courses (Agricultural Engineer).
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Languages: English; Spanish an advantage but not essential (Where needed, language training is provided to facilitate communication from a basic operational perspective).
• General Computer Skills:
• General knowledge of SAP operations helpful.
• Computer literate in Office package (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Managerial Skills:
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
• Proficient in planning, organizing, decision-making and scheduling work.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem analysis with the ability to propose effective solutions.
• Behavioral Skills:
• Highly attentive to detail.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor.
