In this role, you'll lead the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions, guiding a high-impact team that collaborates across business and engineering to bring machine learning initiatives to life. You'll design and scale AI systems, mentor developers, and shape the technical direction — all while ensuring robust, production-ready solutions that create real business value.

What To Expect In This Role (Responsibilities)

• Collaborate closely with business and engineering teams to identify, define, and prioritize AI and machine learning projects.
• Lead the quick and effective development of proofs of concept (PoCs) for various AI initiatives.
• Design, build, and deploy AI solutions leveraging Python, ML libraries, third-party AI services, and AWS.
• Drive technical direction to ensure scalability, robustness, and best practices across projects.
• Act as a mentor and technical leader, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Communicate and align plans across teams and stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for hiring and building a strong AI team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong AI/ML project delivery background.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries.
• Practical expertise with LLMs and NLP.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (GCP is a plus).
• Knowledge of building and deploying microservices.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and AI services.
• Familiarity with monitoring applications in production.
• Strong Git workflows (GitHub, BitBucket, etc.).
• Advanced/Fluent English (written and verbal) for daily remote collaboration.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with fine-tuning or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Background in data engineering or MLOps.
• Published work or open-source contributions in AI/ML.
• Experience scaling AI solutions in cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, etc.).
