Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties, traffic control, and enforcing federal law to protect personnel and the public.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent with general arrest authority, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Three years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage entrance control and screening to prevent weapons and contraband.
• Roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Guard stationary posts including courts, judge chambers, and jury rooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic and monitor court facility parking and lighting as per post orders.
• Enforce federal law and detain violators when necessary.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, or threats.
