Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties, traffic control, and reporting on incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years of verifiable law enforcement experience within last 7 years.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and DOJ clearance; completed law enforcement training.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screening to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roaming patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand at stationary posts including CCTV and duress systems.
• Provide armed escorts for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and control parking at court properties.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized persons as needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect before proceedings.
• Preserve order and enforce court rules and judicial orders.
