Werben HR is hiring an API Design and Development specialist to design, implement, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs. You will collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure robust, scalable data exchange across systems.

The role requires 5+ years in API development, strong skills in JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#, and experience with Spring Boot. You will mentor teams on API security best practices and contribute to documentation and testing efforts.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of API development and integration experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design and Microservices.
• Experience with API development frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of API security best practices: OAuth, JWT, API keys.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

API Design and Development:

Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs based on business requirements and technical specifications.Ensure that APIs are well-documented, maintainable, and adhere to industry best practices.

Integration and Collaboration:

Collaborate with front-end developers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to integrate APIs with various systems and applications.Ensure seamless data flow and interaction between different components of the system.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize the performance of APIs to ensure fast response times and efficient data processing.Implement caching, rate limiting, and other performance-enhancing techniques.

Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices to protect APIs from threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and cross-site request forgery (CSRF).HIPAA.

Testing and Debugging:

Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality and reliability of APIs.Debug and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and security.

Documentation and Support:

Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including usage guidelines, endpoint descriptions, and example requests/responses.Provide support to internal and external developers who use the APIs, addressing their questions and issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API development.Continuously seek opportunities to improve the design, performance, and security of APIs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in API development and integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design principles and experience with Microservice Archtecture.
• Experience with API development frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of API security best practices and authentication mechanisms, such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality APIs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
