AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable platform services that support rapid company growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes and collaborate with engineering and data science teams to keep systems secure and performant.

The role emphasizes distributed architecture, AI-native tooling, and ownership. Excellent communication and a drive to own end-to-end infrastructure are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including Service Mesh technologies.
• 1+ year of experience building components like service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, or polyglot persistence.
• 6+ months of experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code/Claude Cowork or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
