Newsweek in Argentina seeks a Director of Technology to lead engineering for our Ad Tech platform. You will shape technical strategy with the CTPO and own turning it into delivered software through a distributed team across backend, full stack, data, QA, and ML.

This role requires deep hands-on technical depth, architectural judgment, and the ability to ship high-quality, scalable solutions. Strong English skills are essential.

Competenze

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading teams.
• Hands-on experience building or operating advertising technology systems.
• Knowledge of OpenRTB, ads.txt, sellers.json, schain.
• Strong data engineering: high-volume pipelines, data warehousing, AWS.
• Experience managing distributed/offshore teams across time zones.
• Ability to switch between strategic discussions and detailed technical reviews.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Mansioni

• Partner with CTPO on technology strategy and translate into architecture proposals.
• Review designs from engineering; approve, refine, or propose alternatives.
• Own delivery end to end: sprint planning, scope control, timelines.
• Manage a distributed engineering team of nine across backend, full stack, data, QA, and ML.
• Establish progress reporting for leadership visibility on shipping and risk.
• Raise engineering standards: design quality, code review discipline, testing.
• Collaborate with product management to turn requirements into engineering work.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices.
