Division Specific Information: The Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry business develops and manufactures innovative instruments, consumables, and software solutions for customers in analytical sciences and scientific research. We serve fields such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, forensics, environmental analysis, and biochemistry.

The Application Scientist role for Ion Chromatography, Trace Elemental Analysis, and Discrete Analyzers in the Middle East & Africa involves applying scientific expertise with chromatography and mass spectrometry to solve analytical challenges.

• Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing instrument and software features, functionalities, and methodologies. Understand customer motivations and success criteria, and develop strategies to demonstrate analytical confidence.
• Provide virtual, remote, or onsite product training for customers.
• Resolve or advance customer issues and complaints.
• Deliver technical presentations to highlight solutions and communicate scientific concepts effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer training processes.
• Stay updated on scientific literature, methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Act as a scientific advisor to customers and internal teams, identifying improvement opportunities.

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments and software.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and mentorship skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in local language and English.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
