About the Role : We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in automobile chassis and roll cage design, sheet metal fabrication, and prototype development. The ideal candidate should be able to take a project from concept design to a fully functional prototype and prepare for mass production.
- Design and develop vehicle roll cages, chassis structures, and sheet metal components using SolidWorks.
- Perform FEA simulations to validate structural integrity, weight optimization, and safety compliance.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings, weldments, and fabrication documentation.
- Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles are applied.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
- Collaborate with electrical, bodywork, and suspension teams to integrate mechanical systems.
- Plan and manage the transition from prototype stage to mass production efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, tolerances, and safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in automobile chassis / roll cage design and fabrication.
- Strong command of SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Weldment, Drawing, Simulation modules).
- Knowledge in sheet metal design, welding standards, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with FEA tools for stress, deformation, and impact analysis.
- Good understanding of manufacturing workflows and prototype testing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in ATV / UTV / off-road vehicle design and manufacturing.
- Familiar with jig design, fixture setup, and production line optimization.
- Basic understanding of automotive materials and surface treatments.
