Electrical Project Engineer jobs in Germany

Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality metering and packaged process systems for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries, with a presence in the UK and Russia. They are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing the engineering of the project, ensuring that all phases are carried out to meet the project schedule and budget
2. Coordinating the project team
3. Managing Customer communication
4. Leading the planned Project meetings such as Design & Constructability reviews, HAZOP, P&ID, GA, Process, Mechanical, E&I, and Control System meetings
5. Managing the implications of changes and ensuring the overall design integrity
6. Specification & procurement of equipment for incorporation into the package
7. Providing support to manufacturing
8. Participating in testing and inspections
9. Regularly reporting on key deliverables such as man-hours, bought-out items & completion dates
10. Ensuring that the design meets all required customer specifications, industry standards and codes
11. Generating project specific engineering procedures & documentation
12. Ensuring that all drawings & documents meet project requirements
13. Achieving project milestone dates to support cash flow
14. Carrying out Bid Clarification Meetings (BCMs)
15. Carrying out Pre-Award negotiations
16. Preparation & Supplier invoice approval
17. Preparing cost estimates
18. Producing proposals
19. Reviewing terms & conditions
20. Checking of documents produced in-house
21. Checking of documents produced by suppliers
22. Providing engineering support and technical solutions
23. Review & interpretation of specifications, standards & regulations and project requirements
24. Obtaining quotations from suppliers & reviewing quotations

Qualification & Skills:

1. Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering Degree
2. Demonstrable experience in a project engineering role; the ideal candidate would have a history of working on bespoke engineered packages for the Energy industry
3. Strong communication, negotiation, technical and organisational skills
