Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and support Rapiscan X-ray and Trace systems across UAE/MEA.

You will conduct site surveys, diagnose faults, and perform preventive maintenance on complex detection systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires 3–4 years in field service, knowledge of electrical/mechanical assemblies and wiring diagrams, and strong communication skills to coordinate with engineers and operators.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Postgraduate electrical qualification is desirable.
• IT qualification (Microsoft, Cisco, etc) is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronics or electro-mechanical systems.
• 3–4 years of field service experience; X-ray industry desired.
• Experience with wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with test equipment (DVM) and HV/X-ray equipment.
• Strong communication, organization and team work.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and provide service support for Rapiscan X-ray and Trace systems in UAE/MEA.
• Carry out site surveys prior to installations and prepare reports.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain detection systems and subsystems.
• Submit service reports, non-conformance reports and change requests.
• Provide regular feedback to Engineering and QA for improvements.
• Attend calls and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Interact with operators, technicians and BHS managers to resolve issues.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and company policies.
