Job summary

Baker Hughes in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Specialist to execute maintenance, repair, and testing of wireline tools and equipment. You will ensure equipment performance, safety, and readiness for deployment, collaborating with field operations and engineering teams to support service delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, with practical experience in wireline

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and testing of wireline tools and equipment.
• Experience reading schematics and mechanical drawings; strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, cleaning, and repair of wireline tools and equipment.
• Disassembly/assembly and system-level validation of downhole and surface equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, fault finding, and functional testing.
• Manage incoming inspection and post-job evaluation of equipment.
• Ensure equipment preservation, storage readiness, and maintain maintenance history records.
• Support work preparation, including spare parts planning and repair scope definition.
• Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Follow HSE policies, maintenance procedures, and quality standards.
