Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Specialist to maintain, repair, and test wireline tools and equipment. You will ensure equipment performance, safety, and compliance while supporting service delivery teams with asset readiness.

Key responsibilities include inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis. Strong reading of schematics and SAP CMMS experience are valued. Travel internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and testing of wireline tools and equipment.
• Strong proficiency with electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
• Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Ability to read schematics, circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, cleaning, and repair of wireline tools and equipment.
• Conduct assembly/disassembly and system-level validation of downhole and surface equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, fault finding, and functional testing.
• Manage incoming inspection and post-job evaluation of equipment.
• Ensure equipment preservation, storage readiness, and maintain maintenance history.
• Support work preparation, including spare parts planning and repair scope definition.
• Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Follow HSE policies, maintenance procedures, and quality standards.
