Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced Consultant Neonatologist for a leading private hospital in Dubai/UAE to provide specialized care for premature and high-risk newborns in the NICU. The role entails managing complex cases and supporting high-risk deliveries.

You will work with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes and participate in audits, quality improvement, and teaching activities.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology.
• Fellowship/subspecialty training in Neonatology.
• Consultant-level experience in Neonatology.
• Strong experience in a Level III NICU and management of critically ill neonates.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to premature and critically ill newborns.
• Manage complex NICU cases, including respiratory distress, sepsis and congenital conditions.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization of high-risk newborns.
• Assist during high-risk and premature deliveries.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and other advanced neonatal support.
• Monitor nutrition, growth and development of neonates.
• Counsel and support parents regarding their babys condition and treatment.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and teaching activities.
