SearchPlus HR is helping a leading government healthcare facility in the UAE recruit an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a premier surgical team in Dubai. The role involves delivering expert care for complex cardiac and thoracic cases, performing advanced procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, or Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
• Western qualification preferred, such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRACS, South African Board, or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
• Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgery.
• Perform thoracic surgical procedures within the approved scope of practice.
• Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate medical records, operative reports, and surgical logbooks.
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and UAE healthcare regulations.
