Job summary

Weatherford in Abu Dhabi seeks a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support for the Well Services product line. You will coordinate well intervention jobs from initial enquiries through mobilization and handover, ensuring equipment readiness and compliance with procedures.

The role requires strong knowledge of fishing, milling, coiled tubing, and downhole tools, plus experience in QA/QC and cross-functional collaboration. English communication must be clear.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of oilfield experience in Thru-Tubing or Well Intervention preferred.
• IWCF / IADC Well Intervention Pressure Control certification preferred or working toward it.
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate well intervention activities from enquiry through mobilization and handover.
• Develop and review technical proposals, BHA designs, equipment lists, procedures, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Validate equipment compatibility and operating limits; obtain engineering approval for non-standard applications.
