Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking a Welding Supervisor to supervise, guide and monitor Welding Supervisors and Foremen involved in daily welding operations, ensuring safety and reliability of equipment and crew while delivering efficient welding activities.

The role requires coordinating with Welding Supervisors, Foremen, Inspectors and third-party NDT teams; conducting welding trials, qualification of procedures, training welders and maintaining qualification validity in accordance with QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience supervising welding teams in structural or piping projects.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and applicable HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities associated with structural, piping welding.
• Identify requirements for personnel, equipment and welding consumables.
• Coordinate with Welding Supervisors, Foremen, Inspectors and third-party NDT personnel.
• In charge of welding activities and related trials and training.
• Implement welding and QA/QC procedures and maintain welder qualifications.
• Promote safety through toolbox talks and safe working practices.
• Inspect setup of welding equipment and monitor consumables and stock.
