Job summary

Flowline Mechanical Engineering is seeking a QA/QC lead for fabrication projects in the UAE. The role focuses on welding inspection, compliance with approved drawings and standards, and management of the QC team. You will review WPS/PQRs and coordinate NDT with third-party inspectors.

Ideal candidates hold a CSWIP Welding Inspector certification and a mechanical engineering qualification, with strong communication and problem-solving skills for ongoing quality improvement and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Extensive QA/QC exposure in fabrication, engineering, or oil & gas projects.
• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection standards and NDT methods.
• Experience with ITP, QCP, inspection reports and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the complete QC department of 8 personnel.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with drawings, specs and standards.
• Monitor welding and fabrication quality at all stages.
• Review WPS/PQR, weld maps, material certificates and inspection records.
• Coordinate NDT activities and third-party inspections.
• Ensure proper quality documentation and traceability.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain and continuously improve the companys QMS.

Requirements:

• 812 years of experience in QA/QC, expert in fabrication, engineering, or oil & gas projects
• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification Mandatory
• Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma preferred
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, WPS/PQR, welder qualification and NDT
• Good knowledge of AWS, ISO, CE and other applicable standards
• Experience in preparing and implementing ITP, QCP, inspection reports and quality documentation
• Ability to manage NCRs, corrective actions and client/third-party inspections
• Experience coordinating with production, engineering, clients and third-party inspectors
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• UAE fabrication experience will be an advantage
