Citi UAE seeks an Investment Counsellor reporting to the Head of Specialist Advisory to deliver high-quality investment advice and portfolio guidance for Citigold Private Client clients in Dubai.

The role involves leading client market update events, supporting Senior Relationship Managers, and promoting holistic investment strategies to grow AUM and revenue while ensuring Citi’s investment strategy is executed with rigorous risk and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics or another quantitative discipline
• Master’s degree or MBA or industry certifications (PMP, CFA, AWS) are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end-to-end investment advisory deliverables aligned with Citi UAE objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, engineering, risk and operations to translate requirements into measurable outcomes.
• Identify operational efficiencies and drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and throughput.
• Maintain rigorous documentation, compliance and governance across all artifacts.

Job description

The Investment Counsellor reporting to the Head of Specialist Advisory Citi UAE is responsible for delivering high-quality investment advice and expertise to Citigold Private Client clients, leading client market update events and supporting Senior Relationship Managers and Citigold Private Client Relationship Managers through portfolio construction guidance, market insights, product education and investment propositions. The role aims to increase client satisfaction, share of wallet, assets under management (AUM) and revenue generation by promoting a holistic portfolio approach and ensuring the effective delivery of Citi's investment strategy. Key performance indicators include revenue achievement, AUM growth, portfolio diversification, sales diversification, annual portfolio reviews for assigned clients, leadership of client market update events and adherence to quality and control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and support junior team members fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or another quantitative discipline or advanced degree Master’s MBA or industry-recognized certifications e.g. PMP, AWS Certified, CFA etc.
• Experience: 8 years of relevant experience. Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception through successful completion. Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Prior experience operating within large-scale enterprise or regulated environments. Fluency in English and preferably knowledge of Arabic.
