Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Wet Utilities Design Engineer to lead the design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater networks. You'll develop technically sound, cost-effective designs that meet Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and international standards, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams on major urban development projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of relevant professional experience in wet utilities, water infrastructure, wastewater, or municipal infrastructure design.
• Previous experience working on Dubai/UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, or urban development projects is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in civil/environmental/water resources related fields; professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water, sewerage, stormwater, and other wet utility networks.
• Design pumping stations, reservoirs, manholes, and associated infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, and InfoWorks ICM.
• Prepare utility layouts, profiles, detailed drawings, calculations, and BOQs.
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and relevant international standards.
• Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities, mechanical, and other infrastructure disciplines.
• Review hydraulic capacity, pressure, flow, pipe sizing, and network performance.
• Support authority submissions, design reviews, and technical coordination.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline

Master's degree or relevant professional certification
