Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join our Dubai infrastructure design team. The role focuses on the design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater networks, pumping stations, and storage facilities in line with local and international standards.

You will develop cost-effective, technically sound designs and coordinate with roads, mechanical and other disciplines across large-scale projects in the UAE. Dubai/UAE experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources.
• Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
• 5–8+ years of relevant wet utilities experience.
• Dubai/UAE infrastructure project experience preferred.
• Experience on large-scale residential/commercial/industrial projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design water, sewerage, stormwater networks.
• Design pumping stations, reservoirs and related infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater and InfoWorks ICM.
• Prepare layouts, profiles, drawings, calculations and BOQs.
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA and international standards.
• Coordinate wet utilities with roads and other disciplines.
• Review network capacity, pressure, flow and pipe sizing.
• Support authority submissions and design reviews.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join our infrastructure design team.The role involves the design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater networks, pumping stations, storage facilities, and associated infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technically sound, cost-effective designs that comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, local authority requirements, environmental regulations, and applicable international engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design water, sewerage, stormwater, and other wet utility networks.
• Design pumping stations, reservoirs, manholes, and associated infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, and InfoWorks ICM.
• Prepare utility layouts, profiles, detailed drawings, calculations, and BOQs.
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and relevant international standards.
• Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities, mechanical, and other infrastructure disciplines.
• Review hydraulic capacity, pressure, flow, pipe sizing, and network performance.
• Support authority submissions, design reviews, and technical coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A Master's degree or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
• 5–8+ years of relevant professional experience in wet utilities, water infrastructure, wastewater, or municipal infrastructure design.
• Previous experience working on Dubai/UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, or urban development projects is advantageous.
