The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods. The role focuses on maintaining a safe working environment, achieving operational targets, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supervising warehouse personnel to meet service and productivity standards.
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch operations.
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
- Allocate tasks and manage warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics, transportation, and operations teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct employee training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the warehouse.
- Support management in achieving operational KPIs and service level targets.
Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or Inventory Management is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leader position.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and inventory reporting tools.
- Experience working in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good planning, organization, and workload prioritization abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and operational best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
