Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Warehouse Operative. Responsibilities include receiving inbound shipments, counting, put-away, picking for outbound orders, packing, and labeling per supervisor instructions.

You will assist with stock checks and cycle counts while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Working in a dynamic logistics environment, you will follow DSV policies, maintain accuracy in inventory, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Education – High School
• Work Experience –1 Year Warehouse Operation Experience Preferred
• English communication (Read, Write and Speak)

Responsibilities

• Receive invoices and packing lists for inbound shipments and verify item tallies.
• Inform Team Leader about damages, shortages, over shipments and discrepancies.
• Fill MDN or other forms and highlight cases to the Floor in Charge.
• Segregate items, scan when needed, and put away in correct locations for quick retrieval.
• Fill manual put away sheets and hand to Team Leader for verification and system confirmations.
• Pick items for outbound shipments and verify them against pick lists; scan if required.
• Pack as per specifications and apply labels as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist Team Leader with stock checks, cycle counts, and other tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to DSV policies, ensure food safety standards, and maintain hygiene standards.
• Escalate potential problems and opportunities for improvement to Team Leader.
• Perform other related duties as required by Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Receiving the invoice and packing list for inbound shipments and checking that the items tally.
• Informing the Team Leader on any damages, short or over shipments and discrepancies observed in received items.
• Filling the Materials Discrepancy Note (MDN) or other forms, filing the same and highlighting the case to the Floor in Charge.
• Accurately segregating items, scanning if necessary, and carrying out put away in the proper locations to enable quick and effective retrieval.
• Filling the manual put away sheets and handing them to the Team Leader for final verification and system confirmations.
• Accurately picking items from locations for outbound shipments and checking that the items tally as per the pick list generated. Indicating all the details of items picked in the required format and if required, scan all items or re-check before loading.
• Carrying out the packing as per specifications and paste necessary labels and stickers as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assisting the Team Leader in tasks like stock checks, cycle counts, etc. as may be assigned from time to time.
• Adhering to DSV policies and procedures for all practices so that business is handled efficiently.
• Proper storage of food materials and products as per food safety standards.
• Adhere to the hygiene standards as per food safety management system.
• Elevating potential problems, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement to Team Leader
• Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Team Leader from time to time to meet business exigencies.
