Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Abu Dhabi for contract logistics. The role focuses on receiving and verifying inbound shipments, accurate put-away, and precise outbound picking and packing. You will follow strict food safety standards and collaborate with the Team Leader on stock checks and improvements.

Education required is High School. English communication and basic computer/scanner skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive invoices and packing lists for inbound shipments and verify tally.
• Inform Team Leader of damages, shortages or discrepancies observed.
• Fill MDN or other forms and highlight cases to Floor in Charge.
• Segregate items, scan if needed, and correctly put away to locations.
• Fill manual put away sheets and hand to Team Leader for verification.
• Pick items accurately from locations for outbound shipments and verify against pick list.
• Pack according to specifications and apply labels as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist Team Leader with stock checks and cycle counts as assigned.
• Follow DSV policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Store food materials safely and adhere to food safety standards.
• Maintain hygiene per food safety management system.
• Raise potential problems or improvement opportunities to Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader.

Warehouse Operator, Contract Logistics

Responsibilities:

• Receiving the invoice and packing list for inbound shipments and checking that the items tally.
• Informing the Team Leader on any damages, short or over shipments and discrepancies observed in received items.
• Filling the Materials Discrepancy Note (MDN) or other forms, filing the same and highlighting the case to the Floor in Charge.
• Accurately segregating items, scanning if necessary, and carrying out put away in the proper locations to enable quick and effective retrieval.
• Filling the manual put away sheets and handing them to the Team Leader for final verification and system confirmations.
• Accurately picking items from locations for outbound shipments and checking that the items tally as per the pick list generated. Indicating all the details of items picked in the required format and if required, scan all items or re-check before loading.
• Carrying out the packing as per specifications and paste necessary labels and stickers as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assisting the Team Leader in tasks like stock checks, cycle counts, etc. as may be assigned from time to time.
• Adhering to DSV policies and procedures for all practices so that business is handled efficiently.
• Proper storage of food materials and products as per food safety standards.
• Adhere to the hygiene standards as per food safety management system.
• Elevating potential problems, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement to Team Leader
• Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Team Leader from time to time to meet business exigencies.
