Job summary

A logistics management company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management and at least 3 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the marine industry. Responsibilities include managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • To manage all warehouse operation matters to ensure receiving, inspection, putaway, picking, issuance & transportation are all in good order & all tasks to be completed within stipulated KPI
  • Resolve any discrepancy found on delivered equipment & material upon receiving
  • Identify, inspect & control all shelf life items and ensure that issuance is based on FIFO basis
  • Ensure proper gathering and distribution of all records, forms and reports pertaining to the receiving, storage, movement and control of equipment/materials
  • Monitor & replenish stock of consumable items promptly to ensure no interruption to operation
  • Ensure proper material management on site & segregation by project, type & location. Account for proper inventory movement within warehouse
  • Monitor & plan for preservation for the inventory stock to ensure product/material condition is always in good order
  • Identified and credit the returned project equipment/materials into stock promptly
  • Coordinate prompt disposals of all equipment/materials that are declared as not reusable, obsolete or scrapped
  • Monitor accuracy of inventory stock level closely. Ensure that cycle counts are carried out in all warehouses as per the stock count plan
  • Ensure prompt & accurate update of data entry in the stock system
  • Supervise & manage relevant warehouse personnel and ensure that the completions of tasks are in accordance to plans and schedules
  • To manage & coordinate with the respective project teams, owners' site representatives & vendors on all matters related to the logistics & warehouse operations
  • Plan & allocate resources to ensure all tasks can complete on time & within budget
  • To ensure on time delivery of correct material to the correct end user at the right place
  • Ensure compliance with relevant QAP & SOP are observed at all times
  • Ensure all warehousing operation & transportation are efficient & cost effective.
  • Ensure the health, safety, proper housekeeping & security of all warehouse premises are complied with rule & regulation at all times
  • Monitor and ensure all warehouse facilities, equipment machinery, vehicles & tools are always in good working conditions. Report & coordinate with Facilities Section for repairs and maintenance program.
  • Identify all areas for improvement, maximize productivity, enhance efficiency & reduce wastages
  • To provide coaching & training to other warehouse personnel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree or Diploma in preferably Logistics/Supply Chain Management
  • At least 3 years of working experience in logistics management & warehouse operation, preferably in offshore and marine industry
  • Possess knowledge of shipping, insurance, import & export procedures
  • Possess knowledge of product preservation during storage
  • Understand safety requirements in warehouse operation
  • Possess knowledge of marine/offshore equipment, electrical cable & piping materials
  • Possess knowledge of forklifts and MHE operations
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess supervisory skill to coach and motivate staff
  • Possess initiative and meticulous in work
  • Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge in WMS & ERP system
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
