Qualifications

• 2-year ITI or 3-year Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership, including at least 2 years as an electrician.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic subsystem repairs per scope of work using diagnostic tools and diagrams.
• Record additional repairs and recommendations required.
• Receive repair orders from Team Leader and understand scope of work.
• Review vehicle service history and identify recall campaigns.
• Carry out authorized repairs and inform Team Leader of further observations.
• Perform software updates on subsystems as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity with strong technical, mechanical, and advanced computer skills.
• Take ownership with minimal supervision and effective self-management.
• Follow QC inspection system to prevent faulty workmanship.
• Handle customer vehicles safely and with care.
• Keep work area clean and maintain tools.
• Participate in Training Needs Assessments and skill development.
• Read and interpret complex safety, operating, and maintenance documents and wiring diagrams.

Job Responsibilities

• Achieve set target for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity & Overall Utilization.

Strategic Implementation

• Perform electrical and electronic subsystem repairs in accordance with the scope of work, using advanced diagnostic tools and standard service procedures/wiring diagrams.

• Record any additional repairs and recommendations required.

• Receive repair orders from the Team Leader and fully understand the scope of work to be carried out.

• Review the vehicle’s service history and identify any applicable recall campaigns.

• Carry out authorized repairs as agreed and inform the Team Leader of any further comments or observations.

• Perform software updates on subsystems as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.

• Demonstrate manual dexterity along with strong technical, mechanical, and advanced computer skills.

• Take ownership of all aspects of the role, working without close supervision and showing effective self-management.

• Follow the quality control inspection system to prevent or correct faulty workmanship that does not meet the required standard.

Policies, Procedures and Corporate Governance

• For warranty repairs, follow standard guidelines, tag replaced parts with a warranty tag, and hand them over to the centralized warranty store.

• Carry out recall campaigns, such as airbag replacements, in accordance with standard guidelines.

• Perform diagnosis and repairs on air-conditioning systems as per standard service procedures.

• Ensure the highest compliance with F1 standards and standard guidelines.

• Strictly follow HSE protocols and requirements as per SOP, ensuring that all safety gear is used in the workplace (personal safety, equipment safety, and customer vehicle safety).

Educational Qualifications

• 2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute – NCVT Certificate) or 3-year Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership, including at least 2 years as an electrician.

Competencies

• Physical fitness to perform repairs, demonstrating manual dexterity.
