Job summary

Rafid Automotive Solutions in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Electrical Technician at the junior or mid-level to diagnose, service, and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems across multiple brands. Qualifications

• Trade Certificate or diploma in auto-electrical or related field.
• Junior Level: 0–3 years workshop experience; fresh graduates may be considered.
• Mid-Level: 5–7 years hands-on auto-electrical experience in dealership or multi-brand workshop.
• HV awareness training or certification preferred for mid-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and repair vehicle electrical systems, including batteries, starting and charging systems, lighting, fuses, wiring, body electrical systems, and related components.
• Use multimeters, battery testers, test lights, scan tools, and other approved diagnostic equipment according to the assigned level.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, fuse layouts, and technical repair information.
• Assist with or perform wiring-harness repairs using approved crimping, soldering, insulation, and heat-shrink methods.
• Record diagnostic findings, repairs completed, parts used, and additional faults on job cards or the DMS.
• Follow HSE, ESD, PPE, 5S, and hybrid/EV safety requirements at all times; high-voltage work must only be performed by appropriately certified personnel.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Technicians, Job Controllers, Service Advisors, Parts staff, and the Diagnostic Specialist.
• Junior Technicians will perform basic tasks under supervision, while Mid-Level Technicians will handle intermediate electrical diagnosis, component repairs, basic coding/adaptations where authorized, and provide guidance to junior team members.

About the role

Requirements

• Trade Certificate, ITI, Vocational Diploma, orequivalent qualification in Auto-Electrical, Automotive Electronics, or MotorVehicle Electrical systems.


• Junior Level: 0-3 years of automotive workshopexperience; fresh graduates with relevant internship or apprenticeshipexperience may be considered.


• Mid-Level: 5-7 years of hands-on auto-electricianexperience in a dealership or established multi-brand workshop.


• Junior candidates should understand basic 12V circuitsand be familiar with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.


• Mid-Level candidates should demonstrate systematic faultdiagnosis, wiring-diagram interpretation, harness repair, scan-tool use, andintermediate CAN/LIN fault-finding capability.


• Hybrid/EV awareness training is required when workingaround hybrid or electric vehicles; recognized HV awareness certification ispreferred for Mid-Level candidates.


• Multi-brand and GCC/UAE workshop experience is anadvantage.


• Valid UAE/GCC driving licence is preferred, togetherwith basic English communication and strong safety discipline.
