Job summary

Zoya Health & Wellbeing Resort in Ajman seeks a courteous waiter/waitress to enhance guest dining experiences. You will greet guests, introduce yourself, and guide them to tables while presenting menus and daily specials. You’ll explain dishes, accommodate allergies, and upsell items to ensure guest satisfaction.

Role requires accurate order taking, efficient POS input, collaboration with the kitchen, and timely service, all while maintaining a pristine service area and processing payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely as they enter the restaurant
• Introduce self to customers
• Show customers to their tables and present menus
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items and daily specials
• Explain menu items, prep, ingredients and presentation
• Be aware of allergy information on menu items
• Answer inquiries about food and beverages and offer suggestions
• Inform customers of specials not listed on the menu
• Take food and beverage orders accurately including special requests
• Check orders with customers for correctness
• Input orders into the POS system
• Work with kitchen staff to process orders and expedite
• Pre-set the table for orders and reset for new guests
• Deliver and serve food at tables and maintain service area
• Suggest upsells and monitor customers’ needs
• Handle customer complaints politely and professionally
• Maintain table settings and clear/replenish items as needed
• Process cash and card payments
• Prepare to-go boxes and re-set tables with decor and condiments
• Dispose of trash according to procedures
• Perform side-work as requested
• Comply with health, safety and hygiene policies

• Input the order into POS System
• Work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders
• Pre-set table for the orders

• Use established food handling and serving techniques
• Ensure customers are satisfied with their food orders, beverages and service
• Upsell food and beverage items throughout the meal
• Monitor customer's needs and promptly handle requests
• Handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner
• Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, dealing with spills
• Process cash and credit card payments
• Prepare to-go boxes for customers
• Re-set and prepare table for customers including decorations, condiments, napkins, utensils
• Maintain a clean and organized service area
• Dispose of trash according to established procedures
