Job summary

Palazzo Versace Dubai is seeking a guest services professional to ensure the ultimate guest experience in a luxury hotel environment. You will support colleagues across all areas to maintain high standards of service and courtesy, and handle guest concerns per policy.

Responsibilities include ensuring flawless room and outlet set-up, guiding opening/closing duties, and maintaining an elegant, attentive dining atmosphere across all service periods, while actively managing stock and communications

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/Hotel School Degree.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role in a 5* international environment.
• Upselling skills training, HACCP.
• Knowledge of Micros system.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Experience working in a multi cultural environment.
• Organized and well planned.
• Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests live the "Ultimate Experience".
• Provide hands-on support, direction and assistance to colleagues on all areas of their assigned duties ensuring highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
• Handle guest complaints according to policy.
• Ensure room/restaurant set up is according to set standard.
• Develop and maintain an elegantly appointed environment, with superior colleagues, dedicated to an attentive, distinctive experience for all dining periods.
• Perform opening and closing duties as when required ensuring that the outlet will be ready for the business opening.
• Ensure the correct and consistent service techniques for various meal periods is done.
• Anticipate, in advance, all materials and supplies and assure their availability.
• Control usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools and service equipment.
• Understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
• Promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests.
• Utilize the computer system in ringing, printing and closing checks as well as shift reports.
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Identify guest preferences and communicate with the teams.
