Job summary

Dorchester Collection in Dubai seeks an In-Room Dining Waiter to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hotel setting. You will take orders, prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages, and ensure impeccable presentation and service standards in guests' rooms.

The role requires strong communication skills, hospitality experience, and a passion for outstanding guest care. Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic or other languages a plus; hotel school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service ethic and ability to engage guests
• Excellent communication in English; Arabic or other languages are a plus
• Experience in luxury hotel or fine dining preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day in-room dining operations to deliver top guest experience
• Take guest orders via phone or in person, ensuring accuracy
• Deliver and present food and beverages to hotel rooms on time
• Set up and serve in-room dining with attention to guest preferences
• Handle inquiries professionally and anticipate guest needs
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain outlet presentation and cleanliness

Responsibilities

• You will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the In-Room Dining area to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience
• Take and process guest orders accurately and efficiently via phone or in-person
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation and quality meet the hotel standards
• Set up and serve in-room dining orders with precision ensuring guest preferences are met
• Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally ensuring the highest level of satisfaction
• Monitor and anticipate guest needs providing recommendations and personalized service
• Assist in ensuring revenue targets are achieved and exceeded while controlling all costs within pre-set budgets including beverage cost and other expenses
• Take part in a daily team briefing pre-service to stay well informed of daily happenings and upcoming service
• During your daily routine liaise with other departments to ensure immaculate presentation of the outlet and high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are upheld at all times including restaurant furniture, equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings

Requirements

• Effective communication skills with a strong customer service ethic
• English is the primary language used in our hotel and must be comfortably spoken
• Desirable languages include Arabic, Italian, French, Spanish or German
• Relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma
• Past experience working for luxury hotels and restaurants in the Middle East
