Coopman Search & Selection | B Corp™ in Dublin is partnering with a leading aviation finance platform to appoint a Vice President – Aviation Investments. You will lead complex aircraft financing transactions and support investment decisions across a global aviation portfolio.

Working with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, you will develop financial models, prepare investment committee papers, and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, or related investment field.
• Strong understanding of aviation leasing economics and financing structures.
• Experience leading evaluations, pricing, and underwriting.
• Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills.

Coopman Search & Selection is partnering with a leading aviation finance and investment platform to appoint a Vice President – Aviation Investments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing investments team at the forefront of commercial aviation finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and executing complex aircraft financing transactions while supporting investment decisions across a global aviation portfolio.

Working closely with senior leadership, origination, risk, legal, technical, and finance teams, this role offers exposure to a high volume of transactions and provides a clear pathway for career progression within aviation finance, capital markets, and investment management.

This opportunity is ideally suited to candidates with experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, structured finance, investment banking, private credit, or other asset-backed investment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial evaluation, pricing, and structuring of aircraft leasing and aviation financing transactions.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support transaction underwriting, investment analysis, and portfolio management.
• Assess transaction assumptions, identify key risks and sensitivities, and provide recommendations on investment viability and risk-adjusted returns.
• Prepare investment committee papers, transaction memoranda, and executive-level presentations to support investment decision-making.
• Partner closely with origination, risk, legal, technical, and finance teams throughout the full transaction lifecycle.
• Perform airline, lessor, and portfolio credit analysis to support underwriting and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Analyse aviation market trends, aircraft values, residual value assumptions, financing structures, and macroeconomic developments impacting investment performance.
• Support portfolio acquisitions, capital markets transactions, fleet strategy initiatives, and broader business development opportunities.
• Produce regular portfolio, management, Board, and investor reporting, providing insights into portfolio performance and market developments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial modelling capabilities, reporting processes, and analytical tools.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued development of a collaborative, high-performing investment team.

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of experience within aircraft leasing, aviation finance, structured finance, investment banking, private credit, or a related investment environment.
• Strong understanding of aircraft leasing economics, aviation financing structures, and investment analysis.
• Experience leading financial evaluations, transaction pricing, and underwriting activities.
• Advanced financial modelling capabilities with exceptional Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement with the ability to assess complex investment opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Background

• Aircraft leasing or aviation finance experience.
• Structured finance, investment banking, or private credit background.
• Experience analysing airline credit, portfolio performance, and aviation investment opportunities.
• Exposure to capital markets transactions or portfolio acquisitions.
• Programming or analytical experience using Python, SQL, VBA, R, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are beneficial.
