Job summary

FAB, a leading UAE bank, seeks a seasoned financial reporting professional to manage IFRS accounting, month-end close, and financial statements. You will coordinate with tax, audit, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate disclosures and compliance with IFRS standards, including IFRS 9.

Qualifications

• ACA / CFA preferred; 5–8 years’ experience in a Financial Reporting Function.
• Experience in IFRS related areas, audit, reporting, etc.
• Experience in developing financial and MI reporting, automating processes.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving and ability to work with stakeholders.
• Strong relationship management skills with internal teams and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth month-end process including adjustments, reconciliations, and audit trail.
• Ensure proper accounting under IFRS at group level and country specifics.
• Perform reconciliations (derivatives, borrowings, ECL, impairment) and variance analysis.
• Prepare disclosures for cash flows, derivatives, IFRS 9, provisions and impairments.
• Provide explanations to statutory/internal auditors and support quarterly/annual statements.
• Advise on new accounting standards and support model development/validation.
• Coordinate with overseas branches for IFRS requirements and reporting needs.
